Luxurious Shopping Trip at The Mall at Millenia
Orlando is one of the most visited destinations in the US. If you are coming here with your family then you should take out some time to visit The Mall at Millenia. There are around 8 – 10 enclosed shopping malls in Orlando but the Millenia Mall deserves special mention. Any trip would be incomplete without visiting this world class shopping mall. Let’s have a look at what this mall offers for the tourists and the locals. The Mall at Millenia is an upscale and premium indoor shopping mall located in Orlando.
The Stores of the Mall at Millenia
Its main anchor shops include Macy’s, Neiman Marcus & Bloomingdale’s. One look at the anchor shops would tell you that Millenia is indeed a premium shopping mall and it mainly targets the high-end clientele. The Macy’s located here is the first one in all of Central Florida and till date remains the largest. It is interesting to note that Neiman Marcus and Bloomindale’s were also the regional firsts. When The Mall at Millenia first opened in 2002 it offered a wide range of upscale shopping experiences such as Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Cartier, Chanel & Louis Vuitton. The stores have been renovated and the mall has undergone expansion in the last few years. By 2015 major brands like Lilly Pulitzer, Tory Burch, Saint Laurent, Emporio Armani, and several others also opened their stores at Millenia. In early 2016 Sam Edelman opened at the Millenia Mall while Earl’s Kitchen & Bar and Bvlgari are also scheduled to open sometime in 2016.
Almost all the upscale stores are located on the 2nd level while the remaining section houses the mainstays like L’Occitane en Provence, H&M, Vans, Sephora, Victoria’s Secret, etc. If you feel the pangs of hunger then you can quickly visit the food court at Millenia which has loads of fast-food options such as Chipotle Mexican Grill and the main dining options include The Cheesecake Factory, the Brio Tuscan Grille, the California Pizza Kitchen etc. The Mall at Millenia, Orlando is fully owned and operated by the Forbes Company. Interestingly, they also own the Somerset Collection in Michigan. In fact, reports found that the Somerset Collection was used as a model for The Mall at Millenia. The Millenia Mall was designed by the famous JPRA Architects and has award-winning lighting, fountains and glass elevators. The whole scenario changed in the last 5 years or so. It is now a major tourist spot and a number of apartment buildings and modern office buildings have come up in the surrounding area.
Parking has never a problem at The Mall at Millenia in Orlando and valet parking is available right at the entrance of the mall. The good news is that parking around the mall is absolutely free of cost and a number of patrol vehicles monitor the area 24/7. If you love to travel by public transport then you will be pleased to know that there are regular taxi services and the mall is also serviced by the ever reliable Lynx Buses that will take you from the mall to any other part of the city.
If high end luxurious shopping excites you than I strongly encourage you to check out The Mall at Millenia.
