How To Stay At The Swan Hotel In Orlando For Free
The Swan Hotel resort is a great option for Orlando visitors, as it is 1 of 2 SPG properties located at Walt Disney World. The other, of course, is The Dolphin Hotel. If you’re looking for a Swan Hotel Discount, you’re in luck! Not only will I show you how to get a discount at the Swan Hotel, but I’ll also show you how to get a FREE vacation there. Best of all, no timeshare presentation to sit through. You’re probably thinking, ‘What’s the catch’. There is no catch. I’ve gotten over $20,000 worth of FREE vacations over the past 3 or 4 years by discovering this perfectly legal method.
While there are hundreds of hotels in Orlando, Disney’s Swan Hotel offers their guests different incentives to stay at the Hotel and visit Disney World. You can earn special points and credit for paid stays or redeem the points for free nights at the Swan Hotel, all while having access to Disney’s exclusive benefits such as transportation to the theme parks. If you haven’t traveled to Disney yet, there are three key items that cost the most:
- Airfare to Orlando
- Disney World Park Tickets
- Disney World Hotels
If you can save money on any of these three items, it can help you keep your budget reasonable. Of course, everything else is still up to you. Souvenirs, food, trinkets, and things like that. But you can use the savings from your lodging to go all out on other things.
Free Nights At The Swan Hotel
People love staying at hotels at the Disney resort because it offers convenience. You get the complete Disney experience, complimentary delivery of your purchases to your room, and free transportation to and from the park.
The Disney Swan Hotel is a Westin Hotel which means it is a part of the Starwood Hotel Group. It is the best hotel in all of Walt Disney World and the lowest priced room will cost you $400 a night. However, getting free nights at one of the best hotels in the world is really easy.
One of the possibilities is to use the Starwood Guest Credit Card. For example, American Express partnered with Starwood to issue a Guest Credit Card to give you 25,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 in purchases within three months.
Here is how you do it – you sign up for the Starwood Guest American Express credit card, spend $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months, and receive 25,000 reward points. That’s 28,000 points, including the points from the spending. Since the Disney Swan Hotel is a Category 5 Starwood hotel, one night costs about 12,000 points depending on the season. So you are eligible for 2 free nights and you can get one more night combining cash and the Swan Hotel Discount. That’s a great deal for the most luxurious hotel in all of the Walt Disney World Resort. Besides, if 28,000 points aren’t enough for you, you can get two cards (for example, one for you and one for your partner) and receive a total of 56,000 points. Then, you can transfer the points onto one account and book using the reward redemption page. That’s it! You can spend 4 nights for free and have points left over to use for your next vacation!
Credit Cards To Consider
One of the most popular options is the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card to purchase park tickets. However, if you use this card, you won’t be eligible for the 2x rewards for your travel. Disney World is categorized as an amusement park that is not eligible for the Chase Preferred program. However, if you purchase your Disney World park tickets from Undercover Tourist, it will post as travel so you’ll get double rewards points. The additional benefit of buying from Undercover Tourist is that you’ll get your Disney tickets at a discount.
This card offers you 2x points for every dollar spent on purchases for entertainment and dining at restaurants and the Citi card also includes amusement parks. You also get one point for every spent dollar on other purchases. The points are worth one cent toward gift cards, merchandise, travel reservations, and hotels. If you are a holder of the premium card, you can also transfer points to travel partners. The card doesn’t have an annual fee.
This card has an $89 annual fee, but it’s waived the first year. Moreover, new applicants get 40,000 bonus points after spending just $3,000 within three months.
What Is The Swan Hotel?
The Swan Hotel was upgraded to a 5-star resort in 2016, offering on-site accommodation and multiple benefits for Disney World guests. When you stay at the Swan Hotel, you can enjoy free transportation to all theme parks and attractions, as well as priority seating at luxurious restaurants, priority for the on-site Disney ticket booths, Disney character dining, and early park entry on certain days.
You will enjoy lounges and restaurants including steak, seafood, and Italian, 24-hour room service, sushi bar, and more. Other amenities include supervised children’s programs, four tennis courts, five pools with a white sand beach and a three-acre grotto pool, health clubs, jogging trails, Gardens Miniature Golf courses and the Mandara Spa.
Since the Swan Hotel was redesigned, their newly updated rooms offer the perfect retreat. The centerpiece of these rooms is the Heavenly Bed – with a white comforter, pillow-top mattress, five pillows, and 250 thread-count sheets.
There are also kid’s playgrounds and scheduled night activities for adults, such as s’mores and entertainers on the beach. There is also The Camp Kid’s Club, which is free for two kids for two hours. During this time, parents can rest at the Swan’s signature restaurant or get pampered at the upscale Mandara Spa.
As a guest of the Swan Hotel, you will have access to all Disney on-property benefits, including:
- Extended access to the parks during Magic Hours;
- Transportation to the theme parks, including water taxi to Hollywood Studios and Epcot;
- Extra one month window to book Fast Passes for rides at the theme parks. It is vital for the most popular attractions, for example, the character meet-and-greet with characters from Frozen and Seven Dwarves Mine Train Ride;
- Free parking at the theme parks.
In addition to the water taxi to Hollywood Studios and Epcot, Disney also has a scheduled motor coach transportation that provides convenient access throughout the resorts, including the Blizzard Beach, the Magic Kingdoms Park, Downtown Disney, Typhoon Lagoon, and other famous parks and attractions. When you stay at the Swan Hotel, you get all these services at no charge.
Speaking of Magic Hours, it means that every day you can come to one of the theme parks one hour earlier and leave it two hours after closing. As a guest of the hotel, you can enjoy attractions without crowds. When you arrive at the hotel, you can check with Disney Guest Services to learn more about the times and parks. Don’t forget to take your park ticket and resort ID with you.
What to Watch Out For
Whether you choose one of the cards mentioned above or a different one, it will probably have an annual fee. Most cards are waived for the first year, so keep that in mind, and decide whether you want to use them after the reward period.
You should also remember that if you open several credit cards within a short period of time, it has a minor negative impact on your credit score. Your credit score is a measure of the credit risk and a person with many credit cards is riskier for banks than a person without credit cards. If you plan to take a loan in the next year, you may want to avoid opening accounts with several credit cards.
Of course, you can pick and choose which parts of this plan to execute. If you open many cards within a short period of time, you don’t have to meet the spending requirements within a three-month window to get Swan Hotel Free nights. If you don’t want to do this, spread your credit card applications throughout the year.
Swan is the most expensive hotel with an upscale luxurious restaurant that hosts Disney character breakfasts on the weekend. It is a great option for earning points while staying in Orlando right at the Walt Disney World resort.
